1. The service

OpenShelf is a discovery layer over public-domain and Creative Commons image collections (sourced via Openverse). We add generated SEO metadata and download tooling. We do not host the underlying images and do not claim ownership of them.

2. Image licensing

Each image is governed by its own license, shown on the image. Public-domain (PDM) and CC0 images require no attribution. Other Creative Commons licenses (e.g. CC-BY) require attribution, which we generate for your convenience. You are responsible for confirming a license before commercial use.

3. Accounts & plans

The free tier allows 20 downloads per calendar month. Paid plans (Pro, Studio) provide additional usage and features as described on the pricing page.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use the service to break any image's license terms.
• Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute the service itself.
• Do not use images in unlawful, defamatory, or infringing contexts.

5. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is". Metadata is generated automatically and offered as a convenience; verify it before publishing. We are not liable for licensing decisions you make.
